Kick starting her career at the age of 18 as a self taught makeup artist she was offered a job at MAC Cosmetics. Working as a manager at MAC has given her the skill set to not only run a successful business but to teach others to a very high standard. Her talent has given her the opportunity to work backstage at shows including The IFFA Awards, London Fashion Week and Asiana to name a few. Most recently she has had the opportunity to receive training from Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, and Val Garland who has worked on numerous fashion campaigns around the world. With all of this knowledge and experience, Raj will whole-heartedly teach you everything you need to know to become a successful artist. She strongly believes in giving each and every student her undivided attention.

4. Gain an insight to the industry through hands on work experience. 

Not only do we give our students the opportunity to come along to bridal bookings, we also invite them to work on the projects we have through the production side of the company. This can range from music videos, fashion events and private parties. We are in a fortunate position to be able to offer this in house. This means you don’t have to approach companies who will be reluctant to offer you work experience on these types of jobs if you have only just finished your training.

I searched into make up courses for a long time before choosing Raj. In my eyes not only is she a pioneer in the make up field, but her course propsal suited me perfectly. I decided to complete my hair and make up training with Raj/The Real Bride for various reasons. The training was over six days spread out over six weeks whereby I decided on the looks I wanted to learn and develop. The six week period gave me longer to practice the techniques I learnt before moving onto the next look. I completed one to one training with Raj over a series of weeks and learnt skills from eye shapes and blending to contouring and highlighting. I always wanted to learn how to do hair and makeup and did months of research on the different courses availble across the country. I was recommended Raj through a friend who did their training with her. She replied to my email on the same day which was very reassuring as many of the other artists took days if not a few weeks to get back to me-most of the time it would often be a PA and not even the actual artist themselves.
